Co-head of the team Atelier de Bioinformatique Atelier de Bioinformatique, team of the ISYEB.

In 2025–2026, I have used a full-time CNRS secondment (délégation) to strengthen my international collaborations, host and work with Julian Echave, and work with Christine Orengo’s in her team at UCL (London). In 2026–2027, this secondment has been extended at 50% to finalise the submission of grant proposals.

Structural biology and Bioinformatics. I study what protein structure reveals that sequence alone does not — about function, but also about deep evolutionary history, and about sequences no one has ever characterised.

Five themes run through my research, from the biophysical constraints that shape how structures diverge to the annotation of environmental sequences too remote for any known homologue. They are set out on the Research page.
